someone loves the camera

Oh, that cute little dirty face was too cute not to share. Nora has her "own chair" and likes to sit in it in the living room. Back in AZ now, after a wonderful but too short Thanksgiving with the family in Florida (pictures soon). The only consolation is that weather here is beautiful now. Nora will be 1 year old in two weeks!

Halloween 2006

Halloween was awesome this year, our first year in a neighborhood with trick or treaters and our first year subjecting Nora to the joys of dressing in a costume that mama thinks is adorable. Okay, I know that I'm subjective, but I really do think she looked adorable...

Okay, first up, her Gator Girl outfit she wore during the day. No, I did not pose her like that. No, we are not entering her into a baby beauty pageant (yet, ha ha). Yes, I know who it reminds you of....

Okay, now the real costume. I bought this last year after Halloween when everything went on sale, and I almost had to wrestle another lady down at Target just to get it. This pic is from Boo at the Zoo at the Phoenix zoo, very fun...

And what Halloween would not be complete without Greg dressing up in a biologically relevant costume. For those of you who might be having a hard time, he is a "G-nome." I'm not sure if that needs more explanation or not. I guess I should at least add that he works in the Evolutionary Genomics group (collective groan). Unfortunately, this picture doesn't show his cane, his G-nome name badge, or his gold gnome shoes... I do want to congratulate Greg on winning the "Nerdiest Costume" award at the Biodesign Institute's Halloween party, and after visiting his office, I can tell you that is saying a lot!

I didn't really dress up this year, not counting my witch hat (hold the comments on that), I think that Halloween last year was enough to hold me for another year. You can see that in the November 2005 post, but I don't want to subject anyone to that again!
