Summer vacation

Although we've been back from vacation for a few weeks, I've finally found time to blog about it... We had an amazing time visiting the grandparents in Ohio, and Nora got to do all kinds of fun stuff.... here are some highlights:

The zoo carousel was very popular (as is any carousel) and it was tough to pry her away.

Nora's new friend Elliot. I had high hopes for these two, but I think Nora may have come on a little strong, oh well ;)

Loving the manatees and the fish at the Columbus Zoo. We could barely extricate her from the aquarium! Another highlight of the trip (which unfortunately in my excitement I could not capture for posterity) was our behind the scenes tour at the zoo. Greg was a keeper there for about 10 years, and his old boss took us on a behind the scenes tour, which culminated in an upclose encounter with the tigers in their holding cages. Nora kept saying "Kitty!!" and wanting to pet them! I have never been that close (<4ft)>

It was a great trip, and best of all, a nice break from the AZ heat!
